Installation

Linux and macOS

curl -fsSL https://glesha.toxdes.com/install | sh

Detects amd64/arm64 and installs the executable and manpages into ~/.local. Add ~/.local/bin to PATH.

# Choose a prefix; --prefix overrides INSTALL_PREFIX.

curl -fsSL https://glesha.toxdes.com/install -o /tmp/glesha-install
sudo sh /tmp/glesha-install --prefix /usr/local

macOS and package-manager releases start at v0.5.1. Releases are managed with yesb.

Homebrew

brew install toxdes/tap/glesha

Debian / Ubuntu

Subscribe to the shared toxdes repository once:

Windows and manual downloads

Download a bundle, its adjacent .sha256, and follow the included install.txt.

On Windows, verify the checksum, extract, and put bin\glesha.exe on PATH.

Uninstall a script installation

curl -fsSL https://glesha.toxdes.com/install | sh -s -- --uninstall

# Use the same prefix as installation.
curl -fsSL https://glesha.toxdes.com/install | sh -s -- --uninstall --prefix /custom/path

Asks [y/N] before removing the installed executable and manpages. Keeps backups and configuration. For package installations, use your package manager.

Build from source

Go 1.25 or newer:

git clone https://github.com/toxdes/glesha.git
cd glesha
CGO_ENABLED=0 go build -o build/glesha .
./build/glesha version

First backup

Configure credentials, then create a set and run it.

glesha create docs ~/Documents --to b2
glesha run docs --env /secure/cloud.env
glesha run docs --incremental --env /secure/cloud.env
glesha status docs

create saves settings; run makes a full backup. Add --incremental to save only changes. Sources stay bound to their set.

glesha browse docs --recursive
glesha restore docs --into ~/recovered --env /secure/cloud.env
glesha help run
man glesha-run
