Encrypted archives.
Cloud backups.

Compress and encrypt directories, back them up to AWS, Backblaze B2 or compatible S3 endpoints.

curl -fsSL https://glesha.toxdes.com/install | sh
glesha - ~/Documents
$ glesha create docs ~/Documents --to aws
Created "docs".

$ glesha run docs -j 4 --compression xz --compression-level 9 --storage-class STANDARD_IA

$ echo "new-file" > ~/Documents/new_file.txt

$ glesha run docs --incremental -j 4 --compression xz --compression-level 9 --storage-class STANDARD_IA

$ glesha storage-class docs --snapshot latest --class DEEP_ARCHIVE

$ glesha status

Full backups. Incremental when you need it.

Create a named set once.

$ glesha run docs
$ glesha run docs --incremental

Find files without downloading a backup.

The local catalog records files, directories and snapshots. Browse it without downloading archive contents.

$ glesha history docs
$ glesha browse docs --recursive

Back up with bounded disk space.

Use independently encrypted chunks with a bounded local spool. Completed uploads are reused when an interrupted run resumes.

Chunked backups and recovery
$ glesha run docs --chunked \
    --spool-max 128M

Your archives work with GPG and tar.

Single-file full archives work with standard tools. Glesha restores snapshot chains into a new directory.

$ gpg --output backup.tar.xz \
    --decrypt backup.tar.xz.gpg
$ tar -xJf backup.tar.xz

Choose what you spend on storage.

Use AWS storage classes, explicit incrementals and compact metadata. Status estimates the yearly storage cost of recorded copies.

$ glesha run docs --storage-class STANDARD_IA
$ glesha status docs
